Palmetto GBA Associates Support Midlands Orphan Relief
Eight associates from Palmetto GBA’s 1M and 6M divisions recently volunteered with Midlands Orphan Relief, a local organization dedicated to supporting children facing crisis situations. The group assisted with sorting donated clothing and helping with administrative tasks. They also prepared Care Kits. These kits not only provide children with clothing and other necessities but also reassurance and stability during difficult transitions. The effort helped support Midlands Orphans Relief’s day-to-day operations and allowed the team to play a small part in the organization’s larger mission of meeting the needs of South Carolina children who have experienced abuse, abandonment or neglect and serving children exclusively during their most vulnerable moments. We believe that no child should be without the basic necessities in life.
For many associates, the experience was also an opportunity to learn more about Midlands Orphan Relief and the important work the organization is doing in the community. The site coordinator shared how valuable the team’s support was in helping the organization continue serving children and families in need.
