Division 54 recognizes associates for exemplary work in the third quarter of 2022

Coach of the Quarter – Virginia Barrett

Virginia Barrett, an accounting supervisor, has over 36 years of experience in the finance and accounting fields.She shares that wealth of knowledge through her motto: "There is always something to learn and teach." Virginia has a team of eleven associates, and each has many roles in the debt referral and collection unit. Virginia is focused on quality, making it her top priority to perform quality control checks on all aspects of her team's work. Recently, Virginia and her team have been seeking ways to improve their processes, and her team has submitted changes to the Extended Repayment Schedule (ERS) form for providers. This simplifies the process, eliminates misroutes, and reduces provider inquiries. For her hard work, leadership, and quality-seeking mindset, we are excited to announce Virginia as our Coach of the Quarter for Division 54.


Team of the Quarter - CFO Reporting Team

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Reporting and Financial Processing Team is comprised of 16 team members, which consist of various positions, including interns, accounting technicians, and accountants. Every staff member plays a significant role in the exceptional performance displayed by this team, resulting in 100% of monthly percentages being met for January through September (the end of Q3) of 2022. This team is also quick to implement controls when risks are associated with various activities, a major part of which safeguards Medicare funds. Overall, this team is reliable, hardworking, and possesses a great deal of knowledge about a wide range of processes and concepts. Congratulations to our CFO Reporting Team for being named the Team of the Quarter for Division 54!

Associate of the Month (July) – Shane McMorris

Shane McMorris, an Accounting Technician II, is a dedicated team memberproviding excellent internal customer service to everyone she meets. Shane has exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when processing requests. Shane has been an integral member of the Accounting and Finance team, and in the month of August, she successfully met all internal measures for her department. Her hard work is demonstrated daily, and she is always prompt, flexible, and willing to step in tohelp with projects when needed. Congratulations, Shane, on being named our Associate of the Month!


Associate of the Month (August) – Ganyson Oliver

Ganyson Oliver is an Accountant I who exemplifies the values Palmetto GBA stands for by providing excellent customer service.. During his tenure with the Accounting and Finance team, Ganyson learned the Medicare Government Cost Reporting process quickly and has implemented multiple new process improvements to streamline the workflow and the department. Ganyson is a very patient and kind person who acts in a professional manner. Ganyson takes the extra initiative to thoroughly research questions that come his way so that he may answer them quickly and accurately the first time. For his ability to positively stretch the boundaries of his department, we are excited to announce Ganyson as our Associate of the Month for Division 54.


Associate of the Month (September) – Savannah Tolonese

Savannah Tolonese, an Accountant II, started as an intern and has been with the company for almost 5 years. During this time, she has obtained a full-time position as an accountant and has exceeded many of her developmental goals. Accordingly, she has been promoted to Accountant II She provides superior customer service with her knowledgeable and courteous approach. . Savannah fields inquiries from various internal customers,including Audit & Reimbursement, Finance & Accounting, teammates, and providers. Savannah tackles challenges effectively and often suggests process improvements. We want to congratulate her on being named our associate of the month for Division 54 for her unwavering pursuit of quality and efficiency.
