Team of the Quarter

Part A Appeals Process Work Nurse Team

Team members: Logan Autry, Amber Boatwright, Nora Burk, Amy Foard, Jordan Graham, Dani Hernandez, Jessica Klein, Tammy Lassiter, Jeannette Norris

When the Home Health Appeals department needed help with the early stages of the appeals process, a group of volunteers stepped forward to learn technical work outside their normal clinical responsibilities. The new team completed cross-training in process work and examiner responsibilities while continuing to perform their regular clinical reviews. Their willingness to take on additional responsibilities helped reduce the technical team’s workload and supported a more efficient appeals process. Their collaborative approach and commitment to learning allowed them to maintain high quality standards while balancing new work with their existing responsibilities.

Process Improvement of the Quarter

2592 MACRO Part 2

Team Members: Jason McEwen and Kimberly Staten

The 2592 Macro improved the monthly Contractor Reporting of operational and workload data by automating the required reports’ preparation. Previously, employees completed several reporting steps manually before reports could be submitted. After the initial review and any necessary updates, the macro automatically generates the reports needed for submission, reducing manual work and simplifying the process. This improvement significantly reduced the time required to prepare monthly reports while improving consistency and allowing employees to focus on other priorities.
