Bob Culp is a System Testing Analyst who has a unique hobby that pushes his and his audience's imaginations to new levels. Learn more about Bob and his amazing talent below in our one-on-one interview.

What is your talent or hobby?
Bob Culp - I am an author and have written three novels.

When did you first become interested in writing?
Bob Culp - I initially became interested in writing in high school; however, college and life interfered, and writing continued to get pushed to the back burner.

Did anyone in your life influence your decision to become an author?
Bob Culp - My cousin and I were beta testing a game that he had developed, and one of the characters in the game was very interesting. Over the course of the development and testing, we pushed that character's story about as far as we could, and that's when I thought to myself, This would make a decent movie. But not knowing how to write a screenplay for a film, I instead wrote a novel. It also helped that one of my lodge brothers was already a published author and was able to mentor me.

Do you or did you have any formal training in writing?
Bob Culp – I did not have any formal training; the only writing I did was for school, Army classes, training outlines, etc.

Do you have any special milestones or achievements you can share from your writing?
Bob Culp - I think the publication of each of my three novels was always a special moment for me.

What is your favorite part about being an author?
Bob Culp - My favorite part is, like I mentioned before, the publication of each of my three novels (Stepping Up, Proving True, and Drawing Battle Lines). My heart lies with the publishing of my novels.
