Palmetto GBA Awarded the National Provider Enrollment Western Region Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supplies Enrollment Contract by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) awarded Palmetto GBA the National Provider Enrollment (NPE) Western Region (WEST) Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supplies Enrollment (DMEPOS) contract. Palmetto GBA has held the predecessor contract, the National Supplier Clearinghouse (NSC) since 1993. Under a new strategy, CMS separated this contract into two different contractors, East and West. Starting on November 7, 2022, Palmetto GBA, as the NPE West contractor, will process Medicare enrollment applications for suppliers of DMEPOS for all states west of the Mississippi River and the U.S. territories of American Samoa, Guam and the Mariana Islands. DMEPOS suppliers will continue to work with the NSC through November 6th.
"We are very excited to have been selected as the western region contractor. We feel this is a great opportunity to continue advancing the broad spectrum of services Palmetto GBA offers, as this aligns directly with our mission to create value for our customers that improves service, quality and cost," said Joe Roof, Vice President of Support Operations.
