Division 93 Honors Quarter One Winners for Work that Strengthens the Team

Eileen Green, Training Specialist II

Coach of the Quarter

Eileen Green

Eileen Green, Training Specialist II, has been recognized for the care she brings to training new employees and helping them feel prepared in their roles. Sarting a new job can feel overwhelming, but Eileen helps make the process easier by walking employees through information step by step. She takes time to explain the material, answer questions and make sure trainees understand the work before moving forward.

Her approach creates a learning environment where employees feel supported from the beginning. Through her guidance, Eileen helps new team members build confidence as they learn their responsibilities and prepare for success.

Team of the Quarter

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Team

Team Members: Patricia Alfano, Micheal Bowring, Janice T. Collins, Latasha Dawson, Deloris Green, Betty Harris, Jennifer D. Henderson, Melissa Mayson, Demetrius Perkins

The OPM team has been recognized for its strong performance during the first quarter of 2026. Throughout the quarter, the team processed a high volume of claims while maintaining strong quality results. Team members also assisted with the Provider Enrollment workload to help support timeliness standards.

In addition to their claims work, members of the OPM team partnered with technical support to load the 2026 pricing files, an important step in helping ensure claims are priced correctly for the new service year. The team’s ability to manage daily productions, support other work areas and contribute to key system updates reflects the value they bring to the department.

Process Improvement of the Quarter

The Benefit Integrity Unit

Team Members: Van Dixon, Tammy Kneel, Ricky Newton, Donna Phelan, Debra Watson

The Benefit Integrity Unit improved how payment suspension activity is tracked and reconciled. Previously, the tracking process captured open payment suspensions but did not fully account for pending items before month-end reconciliation. To address this, the team added a new section to its tracking spreadsheet to document both open and pending suspensions.

This update gives the Benefit Integrity Unit and Finance Team a more complete view of payment suspension activity. The improvement strengthens reporting accuracy, supports a smoother reconciliation process and helps ensure monthly totals remain aligned.
