Process Improvement of the Quarter

CSV Creator Spreadsheet with Magnit Integration

Team members: Denise Dearing, Marzyeh Ghorbanali, Juanita Glover and John Thaler

The CSV Creator Spreadsheet with Magnit Integration has been recognized as Process Improvement of the Quarter for improving vendor invoice process. Previously, vendor invoice information had to be entered into multiple spreadsheets and systems before it could be uploaded into Costpoint for accounts payable processing. After a system upgrade changed the required upload fields, the existing process no longer worked, and invoices had to be entered manually.

To resolve this issue, the team created an updated spreadsheet that can generate the needed upload file and adjust when Costpoint requirements change. The new process eliminates manual entry for Magnit invoices, saving an estimated 42 hours each year and improving efficiency by 98 percent. This improvement reduced manual work, strengthened invoice processing and created a more adaptable process for future system changes.
