Division 34 team cuts down on paper, modernizes communication with iFlow

Team members in Division 34 realized during previous rounds of the competitive billing that it was a laborious and paper-driven process with large billing expenses. The team modernized the process during the first quarter, allowing systematically generated bulk notices to be distributed digitally via iFlow.

This improved efficiency and nearly eliminated all mailing and printing costs, earning the team the distinction of Process Improvement of the Quarter for Division 34.

Division 34 Team of the Quarter assists with website rebranding project

The Third Party Administrator (TPA) Rebrand team came together to complete the update, implementation and testing of an outdated website as part of the new internal website branding initiative with a high-level goal to make all externally facing Palmetto websites have a similar look. The team was tasked with reorganizing the existing webpage into more logical topics and updating it based on the Coverage Gap Discount Program (CGDP) Portal payment application. The website’s reorganization project was converted to the Palmetto branding initiative prior to loading to production. Because of the work the TPA team completed as part of their reorganization project, the transition to the new branding initiative was made easier.

With the rebrand modernization of this website, visitors to the site are now presented with the most current data documentation located on the homepage’s topics menu. Visitors also can access alerts provided on the home page to keep up to date on the announcements, and updated quick links to Archives, Contact Us, and frequently asked questions (FAQs) also have been added into the design of the website.

Servaas Schutte’s named Division 34 Coach of the Quarter for his initiative, commitment

Servaas Schutte has quickly become a vital member of the Front-End System (FES) by contributing his talents to several high-profile projects. He has recognized the different skill sets of his team members and took initiative to step up as a coach to help his team improve the quality of their code and to assist with the delivery of system updates.

As a positive role model for the team, Schutte is invested in his team’s and strives to deliver high-quality work and to foster an inclusive environment where team members collaborate freely and feel open to ask any technical questions. His upbeat attitude encourages his team to tackle difficult coding assignments and to complete them on time.
