How A Community Is Coming Together To Give Bicycles To Less Fortunate Children This Holiday Season

Each holiday season, the Marine Toys for Tots launches its campaign to help bring the joy of the holiday season through the gift of a new toy to less fortunate children. Many local community organizations, as well as Palmetto GBA employees like consultant Paige Easley, join the cause each year. Paige decided to volunteer his time with the WildeWood Country Club, which for the past nine years has donated bicycles to the Marine Toys for Tots campaign. To date, the WildeWood Country Club has donated 1800 bicycles, helmets, and locks. Paige, along with other members of the community and club, assembled the bikes for pickup. This project is based on the idea that a bicycle for a child is a life-changing event and is great for their physical and mental health. This year, Paige Easley and others helped donate one hundred twenty-five boys' and one hundred twenty-five girls’ bicycles to this amazing charity.
