Palmetto GBA employees recognized for extraordinary philanthropic efforts
Giving back to our communities is among the core values at Palmetto GBA, and every associate is encouraged to impact their community in a positive way. Each year, the Central Carolina Community Foundation (CCCF) helps select divisions within the company to receive the Gift of Time and Talent and the Gift of Treasure awards. Winners each receive $3,000 to donate to the organization of their choice.
The Support Operations Division has been chosen to receive the Gift of Time and Talent award in recognition of service projects that impacted eight different organizations in the community, including Sacks of Love and Wreaths Across America. Support Operations employees decided to continue to spread the love by donating their award to three different charities: Meals on Wheels, Harvest Hope Food Bank and Epworth Children’s Home. Each organization will receive a $1,000 donation.
The Systems and Support Division has been named the Gift of Treasure award winner for the diversity of organizations assisted throughout the year. Employees assisted charities and initiatives that serve seniors, children and animals, including the U.S. Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots Bicycle Drive in which employees donated 200 items and raised $14,000. Systems and Support associates will split their award among Senior Pantry and Fostering Foster Animal Rescue, with each organization receiving $1,500.
“The Palmetto GBA teams continue to make a difference in their community,” said JoAnn Turnquist, President of the CCCF. “Their philanthropic efforts are diverse and tailored to the needs of the communities they call home.”
