Monica Entzminger, who leads the Medicare Part A Certified Provider team at Palmetto GBA, has been honored as the 2025 Q3 Manager of the Quarter for her outstanding leadership and problem-solving skills. When she stepped into her role in 2024, Monica faced a major challenge: clearing a backlog of nearly 900 provider applications. At the time, she had only two team members to help. Monica quickly built a stronger team, growing it to 12 analysts and a supervisor. She also introduced a smart, structured plan to increase efficiency. Thanks to her efforts, the backlog was cut by more than 75 percent.

Monica’s team members say her leadership has made a big difference. She created a supportive environment with clear training, daily check-ins and personalized goals. Her team describes her as approachable, knowledgeable and genuinely invested in their success. One employee shared, “She’s the only manager I’ve had who truly understands the work we do,” while another praised her for always being available to help and offer encouragement. Monica’s ability to connect with her team and lead with empathy has boosted both morale and performance.

In addition to improving internal operations, Monica also leads a project that strengthens communication between Palmetto GBA and state agencies. She meets regularly with agency partners to resolve issues and improve coordination, helping ensure smoother service for everyone involved. Her dedication, positive attitude and commitment to celebrating every win—big or small—have made her a standout leader. Monica’s recognition with the Excellence in Leadership Award reflects her exceptional performance and significant contributions to her team and the entire organization.
