Division 54 recognizes associates for exemplary work in the first quarter of 2021

Process Improvement of the Quarter - Cutoff Check Verification

Before the implementation of the new disbursement packet process, payment overview screens for the first and last check from each Line of Business (LOB) were manually saved. This resulted in saving 36 PDF files from Healthcare Integrated General Ledger Accounting System (HIGLAS) to the packet - a time-consuming process. Post-implementation now allows for team members to copy and paste the final payment register and highlight the first and last check from each line of business. The process has eliminated saving multiple PDF files, which would also require access to HIGLAS for check verification. This improvement has saved over two hours per week and streamlined the process.

Team of the Quarter - Time Reporting and Non-MAC Contract Cost Accounting Team

The Time Reporting and Non-MAC Contract Cost Accounting Team are comprised of two teams with very diverse job functions. While working exclusively from home, the two teams joined efforts to collaborate on new and upcoming projects. The constant communication between members helped increase productivity and reduce additional stress due to working remotely. This great team dynamic was critical in the completion of the Deltek Timekeeping upgrade implemented at the end of 2020 and the new Deltek Webport website launched in February. Both improvements streamlined workflows to create a more productive interface for all.

The Time Reporting and Non-MAC Contract Cost Accounting Team is awarded the first quarter 2021 Team of the Quarter for their collaborative work to improve the Deltek system for all associates.

Team Members: Amber Lee, David Garrick, Denise Dearing, Felicia Davis, and Telisha Goodwin
