Outpatient Prior Authorization (OPD) Implementation of the Provider Contact Tab on the Edit Management System (EMS) Checklist

The implementation of the Provider Contact Tab on the OPD EMS checklist represents a significant improvement in efficiency and accuracy for medical reviewers. This enhancement allows provider education calls to be documented directly within EMS, eliminating the need to access a separate system. The streamlined workflow reduces documentation time by approximately three minutes and provides faster access to call records and required data. The successful adoption and measurable impact of this enhancement earned it the Process Improvement of the Quarter.
