Division 28 recognizes associates for exemplary work in the fourth quarter of 2021
Coach of the Quarter – Tonya Gamble
Tonya Gamble is an Auditor II who displays diplomacy and humility while motivating her team to become the best. She is a door-always-open leader and encourages her staff to come to her when they have questions or concerns. She challenges her team to think critically and collaborate to meet all deadlines, exceeds metrics, and complete projects. Her team says "we love learning from Tonya as she takes the time to explain the procedures and reasons behind them. This helps us understand, evaluate and bring our ideas and suggestions to the projects." Tonya continually builds up her team and coworkers with a smile on her face and enthusiasm for her job.
Team of the Quarter - JM Audit
In the fourth quarter of 2021, the JM Audit team completed 428 desk reviews, 101 wage index reviews, and issued 562 final settlements. The processed workload represented a 38% increase over the same period in the prior year. Additionally, the JM Audit team completed this workload and met new, more strenuous internal metrics, including completing the desk review and issuing the required Pending Settlement Letter (SSI) for jobs three weeks before the due date. The JM Audit team not only met these requirements but exceeded them. The team completed all reviews by mid-November while successfully selecting, onboarding, and training new team members. This team understood the overall goal of the Provider Audit team and embraced the teams' internal "One Audit Team" concept to drive work performance, collaboration, and process improvements.

Process Improvement of the Quarter - Reduction of time and staff to mail post-pay ADRs
The post-pay mill was created to adjust claims for all Document Control Numbers (DCNs) and Internal Control Numbers (ICNs) submitted. The process reduces the number of employees, time, and money spent on manually generating letters. With this new process, the technical specialists and operations analysts no longer need to create, conduct quality control, print, and mail letters. Now all claims are adjusted in the Mill and completed in 30 minutes or less resulting in significant annual savings.
Team Members: Cheryl Bell, Sheila Bell, Terri Bozard, Mary Hamill, Timothy Oxley, John Rudolph, Shavonne Samuel, Daliyl Skinner, and Chantel Warren

Most recently, Valerie has exceeded expectations by assisting the work at home coordinator with equipment mailing and tracking, while continuing to excel in her primary role.
