Process Improvement of the Quarter – Monthly Validation of Workload

Before the monthly status report (MSR) could be submitted to the Railroad Retirement Board (RRB), it had to be validated, which occurred quarterly. On rare occasions, discrepancies were found, requiring corrections and resubmissions. However, the new monthly validation process has improved this by detecting and correcting errors more frequently, ensuring that the report is always accurate. This improvement has increased the efficiency and organization of the workflow, thanks to the collaboration between the Management Office (PMO) and Quality Department. Congratulations to both teams for their efforts in improving processes that ultimately result in better customer service and quality products.

Associate of the Month (January) - Cana Johnson

Cana Johnson recently took on extra responsibilities during her transition to Policy Communications Specialist when the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) unexpectedly extended her old position's contract. Despite the added workload, Cana completed all assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner, while also assisting managers in training new team members. Her expertise is remarkable, and she consistently produces high-quality work. We appreciate her dedication to excellence. Congratulations to Cana Johnson for being named our Associate of the Month.

Associate of the Month (February) - Eleise Hudson

Eleise Hudson, a Document Control Clerk, has been with Palmetto GBA for nearly 24 years and is a respected leader in the checks area. She maintains a positive attitude while ensuring that checks are properly batched for processing. Through her dedication to quality and process improvements, Eleise has consistently met and exceeded departmental goals. We commend her commitment to accuracy and improvement.
