Coach of the Quarter
Tawanda Dunn
Provider File Operations Supervisor Tawanda Dunn has been named Coach of the Quarter. Since stepping into a supervisor role in January 2025, she has demonstrated strong leadership by creating a dedicated inquiry team, mentoring staff and sharing best practices. Under her guidance, pending inquiries dropped from 300 to zero and response times significantly improved. Tawanda’s hands‑on approach and focus on empowering others have made a clear impact.

Process Improvement of the Quarter
Centralized Email Integration for Provider Enrollment
Team Members: Erica Denson-Mercer, Tawanda Dunn, Monica Entzminger, Kareem Green, Daniel Johnson, Ambrey Robinson and Randi Taylor
The Provider Enrollment team consolidated six separate inquiry inboxes into a single centralized inbox integrated with automated workflow tools. This change eliminated manual monitoring and assignment, reduced errors and freed staff for higher‑value work. The improvement cut daily processing time and boosted downstream efficiency. This streamlined approach has significantly improved overall operational efficiency and earned the recognition of Process Improvement of the Quarter.
Team of the Quarter
Quality Assurance (QA) Systems Squad
Team Members: Tara Allen-McCrary, Vicki Emrick, Vanessa James, Dina Roffe and Maggie Smith
The QA Systems Squad earned Team of the Quarter for outstanding teamwork and adaptability. Despite being short two analysts and preparing for a major system release, the team successfully trained new members using virtual tools and on‑the‑job support while maintaining full workload and performance standards. They also introduced a new audit‑tracking log that increased visibility into daily volumes and completed audits during releases. Supporting a wide range of call and correspondence functions, the squad consistently demonstrates flexibility, collaboration and a commitment to excellence.
