Process Improvement of the Quarter

Search and Filter to Automate Data Tracking

Team members of the Competitive Bidding Implementation Contractor (CBIC) department determined they could streamline (or automate) manual searches for data elements identified on the Competitive Bidding Inquiry Tracking System (CBITS) dashboard. The team set out to create a way to search and filter data on the CBITS dashboard or in the ticket history section. In August, the CBIC teams submitted the improvement titled “Add a Search or Filter to the CBITS Dashboard and Ticket History.” Once implemented, users will be able to search and filter by ticket number, method, type, contact name, business name, escalation date, days open and status. This process improvement will help users easily identify a specific detail and see all related activity while reducing the number of work hours, and the associated costs, required to complete searches.
