CX Award Winner Gayle Patterson says listening, connecting is key to providing great customer service

The Customer Xperience (CX) recognition honors Palmetto GBA associates who consistently go above and beyond. Their customers and co-workers applaud their commitment to being ALL About Service.

“Providing good customer service means connecting with and listening to our customers to make sure we understand their needs and then taking the time to make sure we address all of their issues, which often means answering questions they did not know they needed to ask,” said Provider Relations Representative Gayle Patterson, who works with our Railroad Medicare customers.

All our customers are different, each one with their own needs and resources. Patterson keeps this in mind when responding to inquiries.

“Since I work with a variety of provider and beneficiary customers, tailoring my responses and education to each customer is also key to providing good customer service,” she said. “I believe I should treat our customers as I would want to be treated if I contacted Palmetto GBA. We have one chance to make a first impression, and I want our provider and beneficiary customers to have the best possible impression of Palmetto GBA and Railroad Medicare.”
