Community Impact

Helping Community Through Fun and Games

Some of the Palmetto GBA volunteers joined a local Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands staff member to engage with students during a recent Fun Friday.

This year’s company-wide Community Impact project supported the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and its BE GREAT Academy in the Midlands. BE GREAT's nationally recognized programs address today's most pressing youth issues, teaching young people the skills to succeed in life.

One Friday a month during the 2025-2026 school year, Palmetto GBA associates are volunteering to work alongside Boys & Girls Clubs staff to create an inspiring and safe space for 75-100 students. With our volunteer group of great role models, each child can get the support and vital engagement they need to reach their potential.

Battle of the Divisions

The Community Impact initiative encouraged employees to donate money and volunteer their time with the Boys & Girls Clubs. The initiative was enhanced by a little friendly competition called the Battle of the Divisions. The competition was fierce with participants competing in a variety of playground games to raise awareness and funds.

Battle of the Divisions highlights:

•  Total Raised: $1,900.50
•  Most Volunteers for the Week: Divisions 1M and 6M
•  Guess the Legos Winner: Gayle Patterson, Division 93
•  Most Donors as a Percent of Division Employees: Divisions 1M and 6M
•  Games Champion: Division 28

The combined divisions of 05, 29 and 93 were the overall champions for the week of competitions.
