Although many of our employees are working from home due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, we still wanted to cause positive change in our communities. By partnering with local Columbia, South Carolina community organizations, we could do just that!

As a company who specializes in Medicare contracts, helping seniors is a passion of ours and Senior Resources and Meals on Wheels shares that passion with us. Senior Resources, a non-profit organization that coordinates services, provides resources and encourages personal choices that allow senior citizens to remain independent. Meals on Wheels, a non-profit organization which believes empowering local community programs improves the health and quality of life for the seniors that serve, so that no one is left hungry or isolated. Meals on Wheels also offers “More Than a Meal®” which includes safety checks for seniors.

In just a short 12-day time period, our Palmetto GBA employees answered the call and helped contribute $3,704, to Senior Resource and Meals on Wheels, with more than $1,300 received in the last 3 days of the campaign.

We are always so excited and humbled to see our employees coming together to help a great cause. Even those who are not directly in Columbia, South Carolina, still answered the call to help. Thank you to everyone who donated to assist feeding seniors this year!
