Another successful year is in the books for Palmetto GBA. A year filled with challenges, opportunities, and accomplishments. A year defined by teamwork, commitment, and innovation. A year in which our work enabled us to make a difference in the lives of millions.
We concluded 2024 with 12 contract wins and multiple proposal submissions still pending an award decision. In addition to adding both contracts and seats on new contract vehicles, we retained all current business. Most notably, we won three significant contract recompetes, successfully concluding a three-year cycle in which our largest contracts and the majority of our business base were competitively re-procured. This extraordinary accomplishment was only possible because of the tireless dedication of our employees.
Recognizing our associates are the most critical element of our success, we’re committed to their long-term career growth. Last year we introduced a pilot professional development program called Pathstream to enhance associates’ skills and help advance their careers. Initial response has been tremendous — more than 680 employees registered and 193 enrolled in certificate programs. Alongside existing initiatives like Aspiring Leaders and Management and Development Programs, Pathstream allows us to invest in the employees who invest so much in our success.
In 2024 we furthered our long-standing commitment to our local communities through a company-wide giving project benefitting the Big Red Barn Retreat, which supports active-duty military service members, veterans and first responders. As always, Palmetto GBA associates stepped up, contributing valuable volunteer hours and monetary gifts to the charity. Additionally, more than 1,300 employees donated $316,549 to the United Way, helping to enrich the communities we call home.
As Palmetto GBA looks to the future, we have a strong foundation upon which to build and the legacy of an inspiring and successful leader, Joe Johnson, to follow. I am confident that our team of committed professionals is prepared to overcome the challenges we will face. Together, we can shape a promising future.
